This anime is definitely in my Top 10 list of greatest animes of all time.
Why?
Because it has almost all of the elements that make a good anime, it has an enticing storyline, it has good music, it has controversy, it has drama, it has romance, it has good vs. evil, and the elements of Bushido (The Way of the Warrior).
The ending of the anime as in (The Real Folk Blues Pt. 1 and 2) Episodes 25 and 26, also in my opinion make up one of if not the saddest endings to an anime. The talk that Jet had with the Shaman that when a warrior dies, a fall stars from the sky and then to have Vicious and Spike fight and for Spike to finally defeat Vicious but to become mortally wounded and lose his life in the process, then to see the star disappear from the sky while the awesome finding song Blue plays, it was all just moving albeit saddening.
The reason I brought this up was because I just saw Episode 26 well the last 5 minutes of it on Adult Swim and it still was as moving then when I first saw it last year as it is now even though I've seen it twice before then.
Anyways talk about Cowboy Bebop all you want, share your greatest moments, the worst moments, and whatever else.

Ah, the music really is amazing. To be honest, I've never cried at the end of cowboy bebop, but the music in an earlier episode did make me weepy. You know it's good when the music alone can move you that much. To tell you the truth, I would always mute the ending song, because I always felt it was out of place and could ruin the mood of the music at the end of each episode. Section 5: Ballad of a Fallen Angel, and Section 11: Toys in the Attic are most likely my favorites....but then again Jupiter Jazz 1 + 2 (Section 12 + 13) are also stuning, oh and ofcorse Waltz for Venus (Section 8) is beautiful...but wait I loved Bohemian Rapshody (Section 14) so much too! Well I guess I just love the series, and I'm a bigger fan then I let people know.
P.S. Section 26: The Real Folk Blues part 2 was the first episode of the series I ever saw

Haha wow, that's kind of sad that it was ruined for you since you saw the final episode before the rest. Then again it may also be better or something because you see how he finishes and then you go back into the past of how he started, so it's how you see it.

Woo-hoo! Finally y'all are talking about something I've actually seen.
Joe: What "controversy?"

Ha well not controversy, just dramatic elements and then I wrote it again and I didn't feel like going back and changing it. Then again you could say the controversy was that when some parents saw it, they didn't want their kids to be watching something that was violent and had slight sexual connontations such as the way Faye acted and dressed. Ha in my case, me and my dad used to watch them when they came on, and he got into it. Ha then again he also got into Dragonball Z though I'm not going to lie, I loved DBZ and still do, I just don't watch it as much as I used to.

I love Cowboy Beebop, but I never understood the appeal of DBZ.

You would've had to stand in line. I pissed off a whole lot of people back then.
