I read the complete series over a span of a couple of weeks and I must say that it had one of the greatest albeit slightly depressing endings of any manga I've read.
What did you all think of Death Note, not just about the ending, but the whole thing in general?

Also from the reviews I've read of the "Death Note" movie, I heard it was excellent so I'm trying to see if I can find a subbed version of it. My only personal criticism I think is the person they have to play Light Yagami.

To me and from how he looks in the trailer, I just don't think it was a good match. The actor who plays L though he looks surprisingly like him, he has that same weary, dazed look but also an air of great intelligence.

I like the music in the trailer for some reason also it's just very eerie yet cool, the music after the Plain Chorus Chant and before that California song.

True, they could have found a better righto, but be glad it's not a tiawanese live action and he doesn't look like the hana-kimi mizuki.

But I mean come on despite that she's 27, and 9 years over the average age of a highschool student she could do it!

The ending was really strange. Who do you think that woman at the end was?
I mean, it couldnt be MisaMisa because she obtained Shinigami eyes twice.
That means even if she origionally was supposed to live to be 100 her life span was cut down to 25..and I really dont think she was supposed be 100.
Thus, who was the girl, what was the ceremony?
I think...the chick was Raito's daughter but who knows.

The Death Note Movies arent out yet either >_>;

And yeah I wish I could say it was Misa but I'm not sure either. I don't know whether or not I believe it was his daughter though because the girl was a teen if not a young adult, Light only died a year ago so the time doesn't add up. Plus I don't think Light would be all that interested in having a child at the point of his life where he was trying to play both L and Light so I assure you, Misa was either on birth control or he was using a condom.

There's no way that chick was Misa. She was waay too old...but then again.
I guess there could be a hige inconsistancy in the manga

Well you know what, her Death God did die, they never expressly said it but what if when the Death God dies, all deals for their eyes are reversed and the life's returned since they aren't going to be using it obviously. So if say she was 100 and she used the deal once which cut her to 50 and then a second time which cut it to 25 when her Shinigami died it would've gone back to 50 or whatever so it may be possible.

why did L die? so anoying if some one is going to catch Light it ought to be him. oh well maby this means that no one will, i hope so. The begining was the best part so i hope it goes back to being like that.

Never watched Lost, you mean that show right? My Physics teacher likes to watch it...then again he likes to watch dancing with the stars, and I've never watched that either. Rolling Eyes
